If you have not already heard of it, I believe Leaky Gut Syndrome is something you'll become very familiar with very soon.
We are learning that there are numerous environmental factors once viewed as harmless, that are absolutely destroying us from the inside out.
Our gut microbiome is something we are discovering more about on a daily basis. Comprised of bacteria, viruses, fungi, protozoans, and more; the microbiome is proving to be one of the most important factors to our health and wellness that the average individual doesn't even know exists!
I am personally at the stage just beyond novice. I'm aware of it, aware of what it's comprised of, aware of some aspects of the roles it plays, and becoming more and more familiar with what impact we have upon it.
Arguably the most important role we can play in having a positive impact is determining how to feed the "good guys" and doing so while also learning what the "bad guys" like and eliminating it from our diet!
One of the other vital components- and what is depicted in the image shown- is how to ensure that what's inside the gut stays inside while what's outside stays outside!
There are multiple irritants we're discovering that will disrupt the right junctions that exist in our gut lining which results in "leaky gut syndrome".
The top culprit from what I've read this far is Glyphosate. Glyphosate is the primary chemical in the product Round Up.
All signs indicate we need to do our best to eliminate it to the best of our abilities.
The first step is to ensure you are not using it!
Another step is to be as mindful as possible to your food choices. Foods grown in the conventional method are known to have glyphosate along with many other chemicals that I'd suggest have no business being consumed.
There are images of farmers spraying their crops while donned in what looks like an astronaut's suit- this is to protect them from the chemicals they're spraying...how are we to believe consuming foods sprayed with such chemicals could possibly be good for us??!!
That being said- whenever possible- purchase and consume organic foods or better yet, regeneratively sourced foods.
That's where I'll leave it for now...
Some new information for many of you with an action plan.
Stay tuned for more.
Much love to you all!
